The Internet Movie Database Movie Reviews
A superpowerful evil genius terrorizes Metro City…until he must change to save the girl he loves.
I was visiting Ottersis, and she, Spider Jerusalem, Scrabble Guy and I had planned a movie night. SJ and I had been emailing, and we decided (independent of the others) to make it a Will Ferrell movie fest.
Why on earth would you do that? I can hear you say.
Because, devoted fan, there are ONLY TWO GOOD WILL FERRELL MOVIES. Which is the perfect number for this kind of evening.
The first one was my choice, Stranger than Fiction.
Then we took a break for an excellent takeout dinner from Franco’s Italian Restaurant in Cypress (hint: try the beef stroganoff, it’s AWESOME)
Then we watched SJ’s entry, which was this movie. None of us had seen it before, but SJ is usually reliable when he says a movie is good.
And oh my golly, was he right this time! what a charming and wonderful movie. Funny, good plotting, great bad guy, romantic, lovely ending.
This is one of those movies that is ostensibly for children but adults can enjoy it very much too…and I did. I borrowed it from SJ, brought it home and watched it again with Mr. Otter, who didn’t like it as much as I did…but I don’t care.
Seriously, if you haven’t seen this, stop reading and get your hands on it. It’s wonderful.
